SDI PARAGLIDING ACADEMY
Introduction to Paragliding with Basic ground Handling
"The sky is not the limit, the ground is".

What is an introductory lesson ?

The first lesson is an opportunity to get a general feel for the
equipment and a basic understanding of the many facets of flying
a paraglider. We begin with laying out the wing, organizing the
various lines known as the risers, and hooking into the harness.
Then we practice various methods of inflating the wing,
controlling it overhead, and simulated launches, all on flat ground.
We help you focus on "Feeling the wing"
Once a level of skill is achieved you may take short flights on the
training hill and/or take short stationary tow machine flights.
An Intro lesson usually takes 3 to 4 hours and is done early
morning or late afternoon avoiding the mid-day air.
We reserve the mid-day for payout winch towing and cross
country flying, but thats another subject. Price $150.00
