Powered Paragliding Powered paragliding,PPG for short & sometimes called para-motoring adds another dimension to paragliding. Take off from a nearby open area and enjoy a flight without the need to meet up with anyone Spontaneity is key here but the comrade ere at fly ins can't be beat. Many pilots are "crossing over"- Free flight paraglider pilots adding power and PPG pilots Finding the freedom of soaring without the noise or hassle of dealing with a motor. Both styles have their benefits so why not do it all! Powered paragliding is most commonly enjoyed in the morning or evening hours, when the air is smoothest, since active thermals are not needed or desired. |
